About the Event

Set 300 years before the events in A Song of Ice and Fire, Fire and Blood is the definitive history of the Targaryens, the last remaining dragonlords, in Westeros as told by Archmaester Gyldayn, and chronicles the conquest that united the Seven Kingdoms under Targaryen rule through the Dance of the Dragons: the Targaryen civil war that nearly ended their dynasty forever.

The history addresses unanswered questions and sets the scene for what has become one of the greatest fantasy series of all time.

George R. R. Martin is the author of many novels and novellas, including the volumes of A Song of Ice and Fire, as well as screenplays for television, and feature films. Dubbed the American Tolkien, he has won numerous awards including the World Fantasy Lifetime Achievement award.

Please join us for the opportunity to listen to one of the most popular authors working in the world today. The £35 ticketing option includes a pre-signed copy of Fire and Blood, as well as entry to the event.
