Charlie will chat to customers about his book and sign copies of it. He will give a short introduction to the book but it will not be a sit down talk. There will be wine and nibbles to enjoy throughout the evening.
When Charlie and his family moved to a small farmhouse on the Essex/Suffolk border, his life was at an all-time low. He was escaping the pressures of London life and trying to deal with the loss of his parents. Inspired by the beautiful meadowland on the farm, he started to create a five acre garden from scratch. Creating this garden, which became known as Skymeadow
, the physical effort it cost him, helped him to come to terms with his mental anguish.
The book is a seamless mix of memoir and the story of the garden. As part of it, Charlie planted a rose garden as a tribute to his parents. Skymeadow is a testament to the healing powers of nature gardening.
The evening will run from from 6.30-8.30pm but you can come in at any point during that time.
