Will has been at the heart of the anti-plastics movement and has set up and is leading the global campaign across more than 30 countries to create the world's largest protected area in the Antarctic Ocean. He recently led a month-long expedition to Antarctica (the boat is called the Arctic Sunrise) and discovered that plastic has now reached the most remote region on the planet despite the continents lack of permanent human inhabitants. This convinced him that single-use plastic has to be curbed significantly.
The book is full of practical tips and takeaways (including swapping to bar shampoo, loose leaf tea and cooking in bulk) and it offers solutions beyond just buying a keep cup or cutting back on plastic bottles!
Will also includes step-by-step guides for making change on a bigger scale, including template press releases and petitions, a guide to organising a beach clean and advice on setting up a meeting with a local business owner or MP.
